Literary translations

While I have significant experience working across varied creative media, my specialism is translating children’s books. Since 2005, I’ve provided freelance editing and translation services to Usborne Publishing, working on 600+ books for various age groups.

I’ve also worked for Mantra Publishing (specialists in bilingual children’s books), Centum Books, Yoyo Books and Franklin Watts, and I am on the books of top children’s literary agent Caroline Wakeman.

Transcreation

Transcreation goes far beyond transferring words from one language to another. I always try to understand, capture and recreate the ideas behind the words, leveraging both my linguistic and cultural expertise, to deliver my clients’ messages in a way that makes sense to their target audiences. This means understanding context, nuance and cultural references to produce flawless copy in my native language.

Certified translations

As a Member and Chartered Linguist (MCIL CL) of the Chartered Institute of Linguists (CIoL) approved by the Consulate General of France in London, I provide official and certified translations of::

Market research translation

I specialise in delivering the highest quality business translations for the market research industry, for numerous clients including Retail Eyes, Lightspeed research and Millward Brown amongst others.

I am used to dealing with translation and localisation of:

  • Screeners

  • Questionnaires

  • Discussion guides

  • Brand and product concepts

I also provide consecutive, whispering and telephone interpreting, and voice-overs for pre-recorded telephone interviews.

Interpreting

I provide consecutive, liaison and public service interpreting as well as telephone interpreting and voice-over services.

My clients include agencies, private sector companies, and registered charities.

I hold a Master of Arts in Bilingual Translation from the University of Westminster, London as well as a Diploma in Public Service Interpreting (DPSI) and a Diploma in Police Interpreting (DPI). I am also a Member and Chartered Linguist (MCIL CL) of the Chartered Institute of Linguists.
